s’hot coffee

I developed the brand identity for s’hot, a fictional coffee shop whose name plays on ‘it’s hot’ and ‘shot’ (as in espresso). I used deep orange to symbolise heat, and selected the Cortado typeface as the ‘s’ is subtly shaped to resemble rising steam.

This key design element was also reinforced with the translucent use of the ‘s’ as a shape and a patten throughout the branding, further emphasising the idea of fresh, hot coffee. The secondary typeface, New Spirit, balances out the script features of Cortado for a more contemporary feel.
